John O´Donnell was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1952. After completing training in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1985, he worked in Brighton and Bristol (UK) in1986-7 and then did an AO Fellowship in Graz, Austria. In Australia, he has worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Royal Childrens Hospital. He performed his first hip arthroscopy in 1991, and now performs approximately 500-600 per year. He also runs a Fellowship Programme at Mercy Private Hospital in Melbourne and is a Founding Member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy. www.hiparthroscopyaustralia.com.au
