Doctor Allston J. Stubbs is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Hip Surgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (USA). He received his undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of North Carolina and his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine.

Dr. Stubbs performed his surgical residency training with the Department of Surgery and Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He completed three post-residency fellowships: Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Hip Surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado and Pediatric Sports Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

In the field of hip arthroscopy, he has authored research journal articles, created orthopaedic instructional videos, and instructed at national and international orthopaedic surgery conferences. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Sports Medicine Program of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Medical Director of Hip Arthroscopy for Wake Forest University Health Sciences and School of Medicine.
